service based application software company with a view to developing
partnerships with synergistic companies within their industry
and finding a partner that is experienced and motivated.
Identified a suitable company that was similar in size and style
to the vendor and arranged the introduction, facilitated all meeting
and negotiated commercial terms.

As
MD of the company ran a 3 year R&D project under the LINK
scheme with a total project value of £992k to develop high
speed/acceleration linear motors for the packaging machinery industry.
It was the single largest award granted under this scheme and
was in collaboration with a UK University and a large industrial
partner.
Awarded
a SMART scheme grant with a total project value of £314k
over 18 months to develop the enabling technologies to demonstrate
the feasibility of linear motors for opening sliding doors. The
project was concluded on time and to budget and resulted in the
company receiving a commercial contract from OTIS elevators, the
worlds largest lift manufacturer, to design and produce a pre
production prototype door motor.
